Every day, at the municipal market, fish market and weekly market, Palamós offers a range of fresh products picked by expert hands in the fields and market gardens of the region, brought directly from the fishing boats every afternoon or other agricultural products on a weekly basis, items for the house, textiles and accessories, household goods, footwear and leather goods among others.

The municipal market of Palamós and the stalls outside it are the ideal place to buy the best fresh, quality produce, in a welcoming and familiar setting. Located on Avinguda Catalunya, the market opens its doors to anyone who wants to do some shopping or walk among its smells and flavours while being captivated by the colours, shapes and flavours of its products with a soundtrack of the noise of the market and people’s conversations.

The building was constructed in the 1990s by J. Trillas, the façade was reformed in 2009, and work to adapt and improve it was done in 2020.

Indoor Market

This has a total of 44 stalls from the following sectors:

• 3 meat stalls
• 1 delicatessen and cheese stall
• 2 fruit and vegetable stalls
• 9 fish and seafood stalls

• 1 salted fish stall
• 1 dried fruit and nuts stall
• 1 bar
• 2 bakery and patisserie stalls

• 1 call shop

Outdoor Market

• Every day there is a different selection of 3 to 6 fruit and vegetable stalls, depending on the season you will also find farm and home-made produce, plants, wine from the barrel, eggs, vegetable preserves, aromatic herbs, essences, spices, charcuterie, sweets, etc.

The catch landed by the boats of the Guild of Fishermen of Palamós is available every afternoon at the Fish Market.

WEEKLY MARKET

The weekly market in Palamós has been held on Tuesdays since it was founded in the town charter by King Peter the Great in 1279.

Every Tuesday, Avinguda Catalunya fills up with over 100 stalls, including food, clothing, linen, footwear and other products. This is a meeting point and is very appealing to visitors. There are around 36 food stalls (depending on the time of year) and 130 stalls from the following sectors:

• 8 stalls from the items for the house sector (linen, plants and flowers and fabric by the meter)
• 26 stalls from the personal equipment sector (footwear, leather goods, accessories and costume jewellery)
• 7 stalls from the leisure and culture sector (gift items, fancy dress and sports clothing, toys and others)
• 1 stall from the household goods and perfumery sector
• 87 stalls from the clothing and fashion sector
• 1 churro stall
